Super long scales on a regular neck?

Hey guys, just bought some D'addario chromes, and upon closer inspection I realized they were super long scale.

I have an Aria Jazz copy. Not sure what scale it is, seems to be about a half inch longer than my squier p-bass though.
Any idea if these will work? Maybe just cut them down a little?

Just cut them down and they should work.
