Surprised by D'addario EXL

I never liked D'addario strings on my guitars, so I never used EXL strings on bass. Well, I strung my Spector with an EXL190 (040-100) two weeks ago. I just wanted to try something different from DR & Ken Smith and luckily found a set of an unopened EXL in my closet, which I probably bought a few years ago.

It sounded different from DR and KS and I liked the tone. I thought, "Well, these are new strings. They can't sound bad." I've been playing the Spector almost non-stop for 2 weeks and the EXL continues to sound good. Of course, they lost some zing and that makes the tone even better. I'll order a few sets!
