Switching string gauges contd.

Sign in to disble this ad
Okay I have bought the EB Regular Slinky strings and I was hoping that GC would also have a high C string in the .032 gauge. However, they did not have it. I called several local music stores and the only one that had it was $5.75. I don't know about you guy and gals, but that is outrageous. Anyway I was looking at the high C string on my the bass right now. It really isn't all that dirty, ect. so I am thinking about just keeping the high C string on and change the other 5 strings. Good idea? I mean the high C is a D'Addario XL and the others will be the EB Regular slinkys. Will this cause any problems along the road? I did look at GC website for a 6 string set of the EB regular slinkys and the high C string is also a .032.
