SX SPB-57 Short Scale strings

Sign in to disble this ad
I just ordered and received a SX SPB-57 Short Scale bass. I'm not a big fan of round wound strings on a P-Bass so I'm looking to replace them with some flatwounds. Now I know alot of guys just use long scale strings. But if I got to buy new ones, I'd rather just get the right length. The scale is 30.5. Would that use short or medium scale strings? Could anyone recommend what flatwounds to use for a good old classic rock sound. Thanks for any help!
