Question Taperwound Flats for 5er

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,

In my quest for strings for my Fender Am Dlx P 5er, I have settled on D'Addarrio Chromes so far. I really like the sound and feel. TI Jazz flats are also on my list to try. One of the things I am looking for is a set with a taperwound B and E or at least the B. This bass is string through (I like the sustain I get from this method vs. top load). Taperwound strings on this bass would keep the saddle heights more consistant and make intonation setting more accurate.

However, in doing some brief research, the only flats that I have been able to find that are taperwound are Sadowsky. Both the TI and Chromes are standard wind. How would the Sads compare to Chromes and TIs?

Any Ideas?

THX in advance
