taperwound suggestions?

so i've decided that my bass really needs a shim, or something as the saddles were right down to the plate, with only the slightest of the screws touching. i'm also going to install a new badass bridge, which to my understanding may require a shim too...so i'm going to get a shim done in a few months when i get the bridge.

so I've tried roto psds, in the meantime for their lower action and decided i like the emphasied harmonics, but they are a bit thin and also very loose feeling with heavy playing. what other brands make them. are there flat or groundwound sets? i really dislike steels on my current bass, and i've only been able to find tapered strings like that.
