Any of you guys use tapewounds, like Fender 9120s on your fretted P or J basses? Issues? Do you like 'em?
Thanks.

They aren't chewed up or freyed at all. I like the tone, and I like their smoothness and flexibility. I even like them a little better than Elixirs, which I also use and like.

It surprised me!

I'll be putting the Labellas on my Casady and Ibanez AFB200 soon. And I currently have a set of old Fender nylon tapes with the red silk (820s?) on my Bongo. |

They Are "The" sound on it.......
they are two years old, and were on another bass (PJ Copy) ......and worked really well.
They like the Jag better though. No muting, just great sound. EAsy on the fingers, and no squeaking! |

One my Fender basses I have a preference for D'Addarion 1/2-rounds. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
