Tenor Strings

I've been getting into the "tenor" bass tuning that Wooten uses on a lot of his songs. The problem is that I only have a 4 string, I can't find a tenor 4-string set, and I can't tune up a whole fourth.
So here's 2 questions:
1 - Anyone know where I can buy a 4-string set of Tenor bass strings (A, D, G, C)?
2 - I want to get a 5 string and tune it E, A, D, G, C. Of course, I can't find a package of strings that comes like that. Am I forced to buy a 6-string set and just discard the low B??

GHS has a 5 string set for E thru C tuning. You could just buy the set and use the A to C strings. You might also get a 5 string bass and tune it E to C and have a regular bass tuning and tenor tuning at the same time. Kinda like killing two birds with one stone sort of logic.

^That's exactly what I was looking for, thank you fretlessguy.
Thunder Pulse -- I wasn't even aware that I could buy individual bass strings, also helpful information.

I don't think I've ever played GHS strings before though. How are they?

They make several different types of sets to fit a wide variety of basses. I have used many of their sets through the years and have found them to be dependable, sound good, and last quite a while. There are certain kinds of their strings I really like and some I do not care for, but that's usually how it goes.
I currently use their Pressurewounds and Precision Flats on about half my basses.
you can also order their strings seperately from the single strings section of www.juststrings.com

You can order Elixirs as a 4 string set and buy the C separately.
