Tension/Playability poll

If you had to choose between low tension, light gauge, loose-feeling strings with medium action, or heavy gauge, high tension strings with very low action, which would you prefer? Which seems to offer an easier playability?

I always stuck to low gauge strings since they seem looser to play, but I've been reading a lot about people getting higher gauge strings, which generally allows to you lower your action further without buzzing. Any insight is appreciated.
