Are there strings with 3 wraps around core instead of the usual 2 wraps?

I am thinking a 3 wrap E or A string would give the finest outer wrap hence the easiest string on the fingers?
What would be the disadvantage of such a string sonically. Yes it would obviously cost more with additional labor costs. Thanks in advance.

Most E's are three wrap strings.

You might be able to get a three wrap A as thin as a .073 - don't know that it's worth the effort.

The more wraps there are the more the upper harmonics are choked.
