Thick part of B string winding on post?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys. I put a set of Fender 8250-5m strings on my MIM jazz 5 string and the thick part of the B string is wrapping around the post causing a slight U shape between the post and nut. I'm worried about breaking the nut due to the stress. Thoughts?

The bass loads through the bridge and the 8250s are for through body, but Fender no longer makes 8255s. I like the taper wound B and E with the round core. Any other iideas on tapered strings for this bass?
