Are used strings good for ANYTHING? I keep all my old string sets because I think they might be useful for something, but in 15 years, I haven't figured out what. Have any of you thought of anything at all they can be used for? (...and I'm trying to think outside of the box....) |

Apart from that... nothing. I have a cardboard box full of used strings...

til they fell apart... that's when I was 14 and had no money. Now I have a drawer full of NEW sets old ones go in the trash.

Or cut the (haha) balls off of them and string those onto a sweet necklace or bracelet.
If you're into accupuncture, you could sterilize them and stab yourself - well guitar strings would probably be better for that.

I bet someone out there would be dumb enough to buy used strings on E-Bay. I imagine you would need to have a box full to make it worth the trouble. |
