I just baught a Fender Highway One Precission bass, haven't put it down since I braught it home

Anyways, I was thinking of putting a set of D'addario XL Nickel Wound, Regular Light Gauge strings on it.
I want to tune it to Gb Db Ab Db...will these strings be good for this tuning? I don't want a clicky, loose tone..looking for warmth

So you wanna tune the low E string down to D flat and the rest of the strings down a half step each? That's what i gathered from your post. Anyway, assuming that, the D'Addario light gauge set has the following gauges I believe: 100, 80, 65, 45.

For me, those strings would not work for that tuning but it is up to you to determine that. Plus, different manufacturers strings even when identical in gauge can have much different tensions and feel. With that said, I use the tuning you use 99% of the time (my E string is usually E flat but I drop it down for a D flat sometimes) and I find that on my jazz bass I get good results with DR Lo-Riders (Stainless Steel) with med/high action.
