thinking about checking into flatwounds.

i play in a band with two guitarists. while the music we play is a kind of poppy hardcore, i still feel flats are what i need. i hope it's not a personal bias as my favorite bassists play with flats. i just honestly think that, since we have two guitarists, i need flats in order to do what i need to do. i feel like i'm getting too much into the guitarists' sonic space. it's really evident when we record too. i'm trying to promote my band, but if you'd like, our myspace is down there. partly, it's because the guitars are too loud in our recordings. i also think though it's just the fault of my roundwounds.

so, my next thing. i play a MIM fender jazz bass. i want higher tension flats as i don't like floppiness. my playing style in this band is far too aggressive to risk flopping the strings everywhere. any suggestions?

thank you, guys!
