Hey PBass!

Where are you? If you're over the other side of the pond from me (I'm in the UK), the place that always gets mentioned is Imperial Guitar. Apparently they're the cheapest...

That's where I've been getting mine.

Ryan &wotyne,

Day 1 of my la bella 7560fl strings. for 2 basses the fender 91 jazz plus and 08 sterling hs... both mia and active. the fender sounds great and i love it... its an active bass so the active bright tone sounds like carol kaye with a pick (though i dont use one ) and the bass sound passive sounds great for reggae (think family man or sly an robbie) or walking line with standards (think sam jones w/miles in autumn leaves). The sterling sounds weird and a bit muddy even though ive played with the setting the amp and the height of the strings. i think the sterling will get the dm blue steel rounds back and the fender will keep the 760fl's. i love the sound of the la bella's but its day one and ill let them settle... im sure they will sound even better as the months go on....i did play "what's going on" from the motown book and it sounded fantastic with the low thud of jamerson. i will learn how to use the video and post some clips. best wishes for the new year and let me know how it goes

Cool!

If you haven't already, wait until you've used them in anger before making a decision on them...

This is true for new strings.
If you leave the TI's on for about six months.
They open up, and mellow out.
I've had a set on my fretless P-Bass for 3 years.
And they just get better.
I also have love for Labella 760FL's.
Have a set on one of my fretted P-Bass. (Maple fingerboard)
They kill on this bass.

I prefer la bellas too, the tension its very important, with the TI i had to put too much control in the right fingers because the tension its too low, but the tone is very good.
but la bellas feel more balanced too, the TI has odd gauges, specialy in the 3 string
