Thomastik-Infeld Flatwounds JF345?

Hi, I have read so many great things about flats, specially on stingrays that I would like to try some, but before spending 70$ on TI flats for my stingray fretless 5 I wanted to know if i will be loosing the growl and mhwaaa of the fretless. I have always use round strings in all my basses, so no idea what to expect. I don't want to sound as an upright I want to maintain the low mid growl and sustain of my fretless. What really call my attention is the lower tension in the TI, I like strings with lower tensions, it seems to me that they are easier to play. If I am going to lose the growl and mwhaa I rather stay with my old rounds. So what kind of sound will I be obtaining if I decide to use dose strings on my fretless.

Thanks....

I hate TI Jazz Flats, but I think in your situation, you'd probably like them. They're very middy and ring much more than your average flats. Will you lose the roundwound tone? Yes, a tiny bit. But they won't sound like an upright, and you can be just as irritating as all the other fretless players who think good fretless tone is mwah.
