Wink Thomastik Infeld - yeeeaaahhhhhhh!

Yep. Infeld Superalloy IN344 on my Fender Jazz Bass MIA. Low end and a lot of a good tone. I'm falling in love again with my bass. Thank you Thomastik. These are the best strings i tried so far.

Who share with me this joy?

just curious, as all mine are top loaded, and many flats are not recommended to be STB .. TI's the exception it seems ... I have been contemplating going back to a STB bass and would possibly use these there ... glad you are enjoying them, I am a bit less enthusiastic of mine, and have moved most of my TI's to homes with more love, but holding on to one last set just in case ...

Superalloys aren't flats. FWIW I prefer top-loading whenever possible.

I used them on my Marcus Miller in the past. I agree with you. They are very nice indeed and last a long time. Btw, does a 5 string Superalloy set exist?

IMO the best roundwound string, not too bright, nice mid tone, good bass, very flexible

I have them on my G&L SB1, and I think they're the best sounding roundwound I've ever had on it. However, like many strings, they compliment the bass you have them on. I really don't like them on my MIA Jazz Bass, and they're just "Ok" on my MIA P.

They last for friggin' ever!

It's a very good tone! after a few weeks they broke in. And then it's just tone after tone improvement. Almost a year after they still have a good bite.

I recommend them to everyone. I now that i found my strings!

what are the super alloy's like? They're all nickel, right?

As flexible as the flats?

I took them off of my L2500. The low-B sounded awfull after maybe 8 months and the above 5th fret sounded too tubey. Though I really liked them when I first putted them on.

Now I´m back to Sadowsky blue nickels wich sound pretty good. The low-B is tapered and is more articulated. On its own sound diferent from the other 4 strings but in the mix sound good.

Did you just say too tubey? According to my brain washed understanding, the scale actually goes from: NOT TUBEY ENOUGH all the way to STILL NOT TUBEY ENOUGH. Only one person has ever reached 11 on the tubeyness scale, and that is JimmyM. I think he may be the only one authorized to declare anything TOO TUBEY.

Or did you mean TOO MUCH TB?

Possibly. Woof! I need another down time already.

Superalloy's are mix of Nickel and Iron and they have a red wrap but not the ball end.
I forgot how much I like these strings just the right amount of tension for me and no clanking.
I stopped using them because back in the day when I read the Bassplayer String Shootout showing a very low bass output on them and there Powerbass strings.
So I have chasing the String Dragon for years and now have come back to Superalloy's
