Bought a set of Rotosound RS77LD and they are too short. The "tape" or "thread" whatever you call it does not go past the nut.. Recomendations on what brand and part number I can get? Want flat wounds and as thick as they come going for the full "thud"

D'Addario Chromes... Super Longs...

They're what my '51 RI is wearing.

If you're set on Roto RS77's, try the RS77EL's ("Extra Long") => click.

They're the same gauges as LD's (45-65-85-105) and are usually about the same price.

I tried some EL's on an old Gibson Ripper w/string-thru and they cleared the nut just fine.
