TI Flats on a Corvette $$ 5
Does anyone have experience with TI flats on a 5-string Corvette $$?
I have been in Fender-land of late with a Jazz and a P-Bass both 4 strings. On the Jazz, I have TI flats and love 'em. On the P-Bass I just put on Labella Deep Talkin' Flats and have good first impression.
I have webstring detroit steel flats on my Corvette 5 and it sounds muddy as hell. I'm almost ready to give up on my 'wick, but I thought maybe a string makeover would change my view. What's the most radical change that's still flats (my gross preference) I might try for the make-over? TI Flats would seem to be the biggest change. I've had chromes, Sadowsky flats and the original Warwick roundwounds on it over the years.
I'd like to hear from anyone that's put a 5 string TI flat set on the Corvette $$ 5'er. What do you think of 'em?
