Actually, I'm amazed at how non-zingy the TI SA's are. They sound great fingerstyle, and while they're probably not a slapper's first choice, they slap well enough to get by on the occassional tune requiring it.

I find them perfect for my G&L L2000, because they tame some of the qualities I don't like with that bass (boomy low end, compressed high end). I need to get a set on my MIA Jazz, and see how they fly with that.

But like you, I find a broken in set of JF's to be simply wonderful on all of my basses.
