TI Jazz Flat Construction & Design Info

Here's a 2003 interview I just found with the North American sales/A&R guy for Thomastik-Infeld who goes into quite a bit of detail on the construction and design philosophy of TI Jazz Flats and the other Thomastik EBG strings.

Wow, thanks for posting that. Long interview with tons of great in-depth info. I haven't read it all yet, but I will!

Ever since the first note I played on TI Jazz Rounds, I've been hooked. Hands down the best strings I've played for my style. Now all my basses have TI strings!

They really are unique

Now I'm a little confused. In the interview (about TI Jazz Rounds), he says:

"The difference is that there's only one cover wire over the core and no silk inlay, this is to increase the mids & highs a tad."

But on the back of the box for my Jazz Rounds it says

"Unique silk inlay between windings enhances warm, organic tones"

So did they change the construction, or did he mis-speak or something?
