TI jazz flats 5 string, question for users

Sign in to disble this ad
I have TIs on my 5 string bass and have found their is a huge difference between the B and G output which means I have had to lower the B string side of the pu to more than twice the difference away from the string as the G string .....has anyone else found this ?

The B string on TIs is massive- in sound and physical size. I'm sure that you had to lower your pickup height to compensate. I have on my P bass quite a bit as well, it comes with the territory. No biggie.

Could be more a pickup issue than a string issue. I've had TI flats on my Fender P5 for a few years now and the output is very even string to string, and the strings are about the same height above the poles across the pickup.

yes I could understand that possibility on a fender type pu...but I have emg hz...so either everything works or nothing works .

Guess it´s just the big volume of the B string.
