What length TI Jazz Flats work for string through on a Fender MIA Jazz Dlx the 34" or 36" set?

I have decided to take my bass in for a set-up and if the tech insists that my 8250's are deader than he recommends to have a set of TI Jazz Flats in hand. He doesn't deal in strings and the local bass string supply is limited, at best. TIA

I called the John Connolly Company, the importers of Thomastik-Infeld Strings, and their tech said the 34" set would work.
