Which TI Set for a Duck Dunn stringthrough???

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi;

I'm going to start using TI Jazz Flats on my Skyline Duck Dunn and I'd like to string them through the body.

Is the 34" set long enough, or will I need to use the 36" set?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Bob

On my 55-01 (35"), I use JF345 set through the bridge (top load) and JF365 through the body. The JF344 fit my 4001. My guess would be the JF344 set.

Billbern;

Thanks for the response. But in reviewing my question, I realize I wasn't clear in what I was asking. So, I've fixed that.

To clarify, I'm asking about stringing through the body.

It looks like you are using the 36" set when stringing through the body of you 55-01, which seems to point me toward the JF364 set.

Do you agree?

Thanks!

The Results are In...

I got a set of JF344s and set out to install them on my Duck Dunn Skyline.

The result... I was able to string the JF344 through the body, but just barely.

The red silk wrappings end at the nut's edge on the "E" string. It couldn't be any closer there.

The other strings have more space.

Hope this info helps others.
