TI Superalloy Tension problems - will a higher gauge help?!

I love their tone, but their tension sucks.

I got the standard .105 from their superalloys and after they started to sound really dead, I really loved them. But they had absolutely no tension. Now I have some GHS boomers on the bass and I love the tension, I can play as agressive as I want and won't hear any fretbuzz.

Because I don't want to invest 25 in strings that I don't like because of the tension, I want to ask your honest opinnion Every answer is welcome, except for the one: change your technique on the TI's. Sorry, that won't work. I've tried it, but I am an aggresive player.

EDIT: I've got the boomers on for a week now, maybe I should give them a nice chance and let them die out? They have that irritating metallic sound to my ears, the TI's absolutely didn't have that. They had a nice smooth, growling tone.
