I just put on a set of JF344's and the D and G sound dull and lifeless compared to the E and A. has anyone ever expirienced problems with their TI's?

I wont hijack this thread, but I just had a problem with another brand of strings and my advice is...dont hesitate to contact TI about getting a replacement set. They will most likely just ask what set and gauge you bought and send new ones right away.

If you look at them carefully, you see that the strings are in fact different. They're supposed to be like that. When broken in, they will have a more even sound. However, if you're sure that your set is bad, contact TI.

I don't find my D and G strings to be dull and lifeless, they're flats... :-)

What should I look for, they look the same to me. I have other sets of these TI's and haven't heard the difference that I'm hearing with this set.

The windings are much more clearly visible on the E and A strings than they are on the D and G strings.
