Ok, quick explanation of were I am comming from. I have just recently picked up my bass again after a ten year pieriod. I origanly stopped playing at age 18 for the same reason Im posting this. I have a fender MIA p-bass(plus?) with P&J pickups. No matter how or what I play, I really just dont like the tone. I really like the late eighties rock bands (sorry, but it may have been said to much, Guns N Roses). I know without all the equipment I cant, or wont, sound like that, just like to get close. The strings I have now are nickle(?) and I was wondering how much of a difference a set of Rotosound Swings would make. I dont ever plan on joining a band, just would like to play for my own enjoyment. Sorry for being long winded, thanks. |
