Toured the DR Factory

Yesterday, I dropped by the DR factory, and got a little tour, met the staff, and saw the strings being made. They really are hand made 1 string at a time. Was a good time!

Cheers!

Seems to be a common problem.

That makes sense.

Jealous, I want to go there.

One day in my spare time.

:-)

Yeah, pics on the floor were a no-no. They also don't let anyone into the area where the coatings are made/applied (which was a bit of a bummer.)

Really friendly folks, and it was interesting seeing the string making rigs. Basically look like lathes. The worker's chair is on rails, and the person slides along while the string winds on the machine.

Cheers!
