Hello fellows bassists, tried the GHS Flea Boomers and i hated them... no midrange whatsoever...Very hollow sounding, better save your money and get DR LowRiders or LaBella Hard Rocking Steels...

DR's are by far my favorite strings so far. Especially the Marcus Miller signature ones. Very growly and cool. Other than that, fender taperwouds are great. I have never been a fan of GHS strings in general. Not for guitar(went dead too fast), and never for bass(sme prob).

Myh MM DRs are still sounding decent after 4 months of intense playing (I teach and play). I have boiled them twice in a mixture of rubbing alchohol and water, and they are nice and fresh. I think DR has me set on these bad mother ******* for life!

Its the same with me. Such nice growl on my jazz. As a bonus, I hate that silk crap on the end of a string, it just gets frayed and looks a mess. Pointless really...
