Tried some Warwick Black Labels.

I've tried these strings on Warwick basses and never liked them. I put a set on my Pedulla MVP-6 and they sound great. You can tell that they are for that really zingy slap stuff which I don't do much of, but they are very beefy sounding and seem to be well balanced. I got a free set and figured I might as well throw them on. I'm impressed. I wonder who makes them. Anyone know? All I know is that it isn't Warwick. They say made in the USA.

I quite like the warwick black label strings. I find them complement the warwick bass better. I try rotosound but they sound dull after awhile on my warwick.

I liked them okay on my corvette but I didn't really have anything to compare them against when they came on the bass. I've settled on DR strings though, they seem to really make the bass come alive.

I tried them on my passive Aria, and they added a substantial amount of growl when they were new. But they went dead quicker than DR HiBeams.

Well, they were free, so I guess I won't feel too badly if they die fast.

That's not saying much; DR Hibeams take forever to go dead in my experience. IME, the black labels had a really long life on my warwick.
