Question trubass 88 tension? High or low?

Greetings. Presently using TI Flats, considering a move to the trubass88 for bigger strings. How is the tension, is it still pretty low? Thanks.

For the gauge they are fairly low tension, but the gauge is quite large also (115 to 55, I think). I believe they used to, and probably do still have Low Tension written on the pack.

well im trying them out- a little different than the TIs... these things are big, and the tension may not be a lot higher but they are a lot more fatiguing to play. TIs, once you get the light touch down, are really pleasant and easy to play by comparison.

I'd bet the '88's would do well for more aggressive double bass-like playing.

Yeagh they do! I have them on a fretless, and to my untrained double bass ears () sound a lot like a DB.
