Is this true?

So on my quest for super low tension bass strings without going super low in gauge I was able to narrow it down to DR Sunbeams and TI Jazz rounds. Can this tension chart really be true though? Sounds amazing if it is...

An almost perfect balance across the board? These are 36" scale but I'd assume those tensions would be the same on a 34".

I wouldn't suppose Guitard Center carries these :|

Website agrees mostly. But this is the Super long set, the regular sets are around 30 for tension. This would work on a 34 though?

The tensions should be slightly lower but similarly balanced for a 34" scale.

Good luck finding them at GC.

I haven't tried these strings but the T.I. jazz flats are great. FWIW the DR Sunbeams are great strings as well.

im just sick of having a super tense d-string really. I've been like a mad scientist lately trying to figure out a way to have my strings perfect. I'm kinda not liking the .55 or whatever thickness though....maybe i'll just go with some med-light sunbeams if GC even has them. (maybe I'll order then)

edit
Almost resorted to strange tunings to fix this.

Here's the link for the 34" TI Jazz Rounds: http://www.juststrings.com/toi-jr344.html

I've had these on a Jazz fretless once - great tone and very supple feel!!

Yikes! Did anybody else see the price on the TI's? I could never pay that for nickle round wound strings that are going to go dead... I'll bet they're great though.

Ya, I'm looking at sunbeams but it sucks that only like 2 companies on the market post their tensions...

I have a set of those 36 inch scale strings on my body through P Bass, and the strings themselves still wrap around the posts. I haven't had any problem with them yet, but it is prone to breakage that way. I guess the round cores and super low tension of the strings keep it from breaking. If I had to do over, I'd use the .43-.100 set. You may have to shave off some of the silk so it won't cross over the mut and muffle the sound.
