I've tried the 4 string set, they be tapercore by the way, great feel, lovley tone on the low end of the board, but beyond the 12 fret E string, 14 fret A string, or 16 fret D string, there were wolf tones, overtones, and all round horrible noise, I took 'em off quickly enough.

Plus if you listen to Infectious Grooves and Suicidal Tendencies you can hear him really well. |

First of the 5-string set is killer. They are really punchy and have lots of mids. Not really heavy on the bass side of the spectrum as much as I thought it would be, but still kicks ya in the gut. They growl like crazy. The low B is really clear, unlike other companys who's B just rattles, this B comes flying out and give you a nice smack in the face.
I put a set of my Fender 4-string, and it doesn't sound as good as they sound on my Schecter 5-string, but they still sound good.
I'm going to keep these strings on. I'll leave another post once they've been on my bass for awhile, and to see how long they last. |

I'll give a review when I've played them for a while. I'll stick them on my Desciple and bring my Bassmaster back to life by swapping the Kramer strings over on to it. ( I miss that bass, was going to repaint but got a bit lazy so I might as well.. )
I'll let ye know! |

Right now I have a 4 string set on my dean z, and I love the way they sound, and the tapered e helps with the crappy saddles that didn't seat bigger es as well. |

I did have slight fret buzz on the E string when I first restrung, but left them settle a few days and heightened the action and it's all good now. They have a punchy-bright sound on my D-1, I'd get these strings again for the Kramer. Must get a set set for the Tanglewood Bassmaster next .
I'd recommend them! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
