This should be in "Strings" and will likely get moved their, but what's always worked for me in keeping the same relative tension is adding .005 per step dropped, which in your case would be .110, .090, .075, .055. Check here for further discussions.

CGCF, sure it can be done. I would use a standard b string 1/2 step up, a standard A string 1 step down, a standard D string 1 step down and a standard g string onw step down. just make sure there s not too much tension on the neck by adjusting it accordingly.

I tune CGCF and I typically use 50-110 guage strings. I'm thinking about trying out some GHS 50-115 Boomers on my TBC AP-400M because it's so bright sounding, and Boomers are much warmer. I used DR Hi-Beams and Ernie Balls on my P-bass for a long time, and they sounded great. EB has a 55-110 set that works well for CGCF. That's what I used on my P-bass when my band recorded a few weeks ago.

it's just like DADG but a whole step lower. the low C will probably be pretty floppy, but you can mae that better with some heavy gauge strings.

Or just get a low B and tune up.
