Tuning down, which strings to use

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys Im joining this band that plays heavy rock and they tune to drop D transposed down a full step. My bass will be tuned, low to high C G C F. In other words all the strings will be tuned down a full step but my low E will be down two full steps.

I am looking at la bella hard rockin' steel strings because they seem like ideal strings for me. Should I get the extra light 5 string set (... 60 75 95 118) or their 4 string D tuning set (54 75 90 111)

I use a Stingray by the way
