Twang on E string
Bass: US Fender Jazz
Strings: D'Addario XL's Brights

Getting this weird 'twang', almost chorus like effect, on the E string. Anyone else experience this? Remedies?

try this
push down on the string between the tuner peg and the nut

Does the overtone go away?
