Two new sets.....

Ok. Pretty silly question here really. My Bongo will be delivered on monday. Since I't used I figured I'd get new strings for her. Also being a dumb ass I cut my E string on my Geddy too short when I was stringing it. Not locked down well, and string is going flat.

So I bought two new sets.

DR Sunbeams, and DR Black Beauties. Wanted to give these coated strings a shot to see what they are like. Normally I play Hi-Beams, but I wanted to see how the Nickels feel and sound.

Now I just need to decide which set to put on which bass. I'd appreciate some opinions on which set you would put on which bass.

Dead in the strings forum. Just looking to see if there will be a benefit from either set on either Bass. I'm leaning towards putting the BB's on the Bongo. Since they may be a bit mellower than the Sunbeams.

Depends on what type of tone your after with each bass. I think the sunbeams will be more mellow. Despite the coating, they are stainless versus the nickelplated sunbeams. Check out this article. It contains reviews and soudclips of both stringsets:
