Not too Bass heavy not too much Treble just super clean bass |

I hate that sound and I barely played my Stingray while those strings were on it. GHS's are gross.  Dean Markley Nickelwounds are pretty zingy at first but they warm up after 3-4 weeks. Quote:

That's what I have on my Dillion and I can get a crisp twangy sound, like Duane Eddy's guitar but in bass form. I normally don't like bright strings or roundwounds for bass, but I need them for the context I play in with my main band. They are absolutely the brightest I've tried so far.

They have a nice high end pop as well as a deep low end thump with a nice upper mid scooped tone, great for slap bass. They're also hex-core strings so they would be a little tighter in tension than your traditional round core string. I also like the DR High Beams, but they're round core.
