unknown strings

So I was perusing ebay the other day and came across these strings.

(ok just so everyone knows this is NOT an endorsement for these guys whatsoever. I have no idea who these people are, I would just like some info on the strings if possible.)

According to the auction these people make strings for a 'major brand name.' What I would imagine is that these strings are made for let's say rotosound, d'addario, ernie ball or ... whoever and are just repackaged. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if these are just like 'blems' or whatever and just get thrown in these non-descript black & white boxes and sold at some ridiculous rate.

Take a look and please tell me if these look familiar.

(If this is against the rules sorry, I'm honestly just looking for information on these before I start buying strings from this person.)

I saw this when I first looked at the auction and was a bit confused. The numbers didn't seem to be correct but that's why I posted this so any/all help would be great ... thank you.

ok here's what I'm seeing on that:

.40 .45 .65 .80 .105 .126 now I think the standard is this
.35 .45 .65 .85 .105 .130

Am i wrong here or ... I dunno if i'm drunk or just being stupid.

Cheers,
Xence

There is no one standard guage - you can have light and heavy sets, custom sets - any combination you like!

That's interesting that they're going with a .126 B and a .80 A. Usually the standard medium would end with 5s all around (correct me if i'm wrong about the B, I'm a 4 string man myself).

I'd be curious as well if anyone's bought these and how they play.

I bought some strings from them a couple of years ago and wasn't too impressed. They are your basic cheap strings, not horrible, but not great either.

And they're not making strings for D'Addario, GHS, Dean Markely, Fender/Squier, DR, nor Rotosound. Those guys (and more a whole lot more) have their own string machines and make their own strings. They COULD be making them for Ernie Ball, D'Aquisto, D'Angelico, Ken Smith, Peavey, Snarling Dogs, etc. Or not, as many of those
companies have their strings made by D'Addario, GHS, etc. or also have their own machines.

The gauges looke funny to me, but there's really no standard. While 45/65/85/105 is a pretty common set, lots also go 45/65/80/105. D'Addario and Ernie Ball both use 45/65/80/100 for their light sets and 55/70/85/105 for their mediums.
