Up gauge

If I up gauge from Elites 40 60 80 100 to Rotosounds 45 65 80 105 will it affect the setup of my P-bass, or can I just change over

As I remember the Elites they're pretty stiff, so I don't think it would matter much. It's nothing that would make your bass unplayable or anything. A slight trussrod adjustment might be in place though not nessecary. It's depending on how it feels when you play.

Thicker gauge strings take some getting used to anyway, so you probably wont notice if it needs a setup. You'll be too busy getting a feel for the bigger strings.
