Urgent: ERB F# -high F- and Bb needed

OK people, se here's the problem that a friend of mine currently has...

He owns a 35" scale 9 string Jerzy Drozd, wich some of you may know, also uses a 2 piece bridge system a la warwick style.

Against all odds, and after waiting one year for a large order of string sets for this bass... One of the clerks from our JD dealer shipped the strings via unregistered mail, and seems to have written the adress WRONG!!

So the package of ERB SIT strings is now lost inside our (very crappy) national post office services. He has no clue if the strings will ever show up.

We could really use some advice on who should we try and contact to get these specific gauges. A low F# string, and the plain steel F and the Bb strings, with long enough string lenght to fit a 35" scale bass with the added length for the Jerzy 2 piece system.

He claims to have tried to contact Fodera, and SIT USA, with no success. so we are now asking for more suggestions.

anyone from the ERB gang has some tips?

I get strings for my ERB from Conklin...www.conklinguitars.com. Click on the Accessories page. They send them from the US to my address in the UK. They usually arrive within 1-2 weeks of ordering them and have proven great so far. They fit my 35" SEI 8 string just nicely, though it does have the all in one ABM single string saddles rather than the 2 piece bridge system used by Jerzy.

Other thoughts are Yves Carbonnes gets custom strings for his Jerzy 10 and 12 string basses from Labella and might be able to help (pretty sure his basses are 34" scale length though).

Also Gary Goodman's site might be able to supply the high F & Bb strings...http://octave4plus.com/

Finally post the query either on the ERB specific forums (e.g. http://forum.extendedrangebassist.com/ or http://www.subcontrabassist.com/smf/index.php) or e-mail some of the better known ERB cats (Stew McKinsey, Jauqo, Gary Goodman etc) as most are very approachable and might be able to help.

Hope this helps...

thx for input man, Yeah I think he may have to try and get strings through Conklin, the bummer is these strings had been custom ordered by Jerzy. But it's urgent he has no more extra strings and other long scale brands are hard to find here.

for the low F#, you can try the Warwick Black Label .175 string... I have had some success with it, but it is a darker sounding string... They seem to be available in Europe also...
