Hi Experts!

I am planning to restring my VB acoustic and does anyone know if VB actually uses the Fender brand strings? It's been okay but wanted to know if there something better.

I've always been a fan of D'Addario Phopshor Bronze. I'm looking for that sharp, and crisp tone.

Thoughts? Comments?

TIA!

If you're looking for zing, the Phosphores should do it, although I haven't tried them on a VB. I got rid of them for the same reason, too much zing, not enough boom.

I used the D'Addarios for a while but I've got the Elixer Acoustic Bass set on my MK Club Custom. I was real pleased with them at first...especially the consistent feel and sound. The E has since died a little though...wish they were cheaper.

I've only tried these two types though.
