Wooten plays D’Addario EXL220-5 Nickel Wound 5-String Bass Super Light strings and says: “I love and trust D’Addario strings. Their sound is quick, clear and direct! And they last a long time!”

And wow! I was pleasantly surprised. Still not the perfect string for me but they do the job and are affordable ($16 for a 4 string set at Best Buy). |
