Victor Wooten Strings?

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to string my old bass with a ADGC tuning so I can play some victor wooten stuff. I figured when I do that I should take my bass to a shop to get it set up so I can get the truss adjusted and to lower my action so i can tap without buzz. What kind of strings should I get for tapping and to get a victor wooten style sound?

probably steel (maybe nickel) roundwounds. out of all the things that make his tone though, the strings are not that significant as long as they're bright-ish roundwounds.
