Most of the time I will clip off the ball ends of the old strings after I put on a new set on save them.
I started doing this probably a year after I started playing, so this is about 11 years worth. Total is 44 sets.
Considering I've only had 1 5 string (I had an 8 string but never changed strings on it) and that I've mostly only owned one bass at a time you get roughly 4 sets a year.
Why did I feel the need to take my collection out of the Altoids tin it lives in, arrange it in rows, photograph it, upload it to a photohosting site, and share it with the talkbass community?
Because I'm waiting for a UPS truck... |

The strings that I got were the jerry only sigs. And for some reason i saved them, made them into bracelets and were them all the time. I have about 10 d-strings on right now. all about the mojo.

No Forklift Holes but the guy was holding it upside down, he clearly neglected the, "This side up" sign. Quote: |
