Are there no Hellcat VI players here who are interested in encouraging LaBella to issue flats and rounds for the 'Cat in order to ensure a future supply of good strings for these instruments?

I have a gretsch bass VI would they in that one? I'm interested. why don't you just collect a list of potential buyers here on the Forum.

Hi Valdi.

Which Gretsch do you own? If it has a Bigsby tremolo then the LaBella flats which are made for the Fender VI might be the right length for your G'.

Collecting a list of potential buyers is a good idea, however, having numerous individuals e-mail LaBella re strings for their Hellcat VI would likely have a more sustained impact in convincing LaBella to do so--a modus operandi familiar to many married men.

"Things are looking great for a LaBella branded strings made just for the Hellcat VI.

I just received this from one of their VPs:

"How are you. Thank you for writing us about the Hellcat project. I will be sending out the final proto-type set we worked on this week. Once we get it on the bass and make sure everything is perfect, we will move forward in production. It is of the utmost importance that we give this set all the attention and detail we can to get the best product. I will keep you informed on the progress.

Once I figure out the lengths, we can make round nickel or stainless. I can also do them in black nylon tape wound."

There you have it. There might be some great string alternatives for the Hellcat VI coming down the pike from LaBella. But, they need to know there's enough interest in them. If you have a minute please email Eric Cocco <eric@labella.com> and let him know that you'd be interested in buying these if LaBella produces them."
