The .135 B is a bit heavy for me. The Black Label strings overall are good, but I prefer LaBella Hard Rockin Steels or Deep Talkin rounds.

I've used a set, and I found the low B to be extremely flappy and hollow sounding. The rest of the strings, however, were amazing. SERIOUSLY bright, zingy, growly... just a shame about the low B

(Some will debate whether it makes a difference, but my bass is 35" scale and the B was just shocking, so I dunno what it'll be like on a 34" scale bass)

My experiences with these suckers...

I use warwick blacks on my 6'er (streamer lx6). I seen a few negative reviews of these strings on this forum, but I've been happy enough with the tone of them to keep returning to them after brief experiments with other strings. The B isn't super tight (seems a little, and I mean a little, looser than others), but it sounds tight. Since I never pedal 64th notes on the low B, I don't mind the slightly lower tension. For what it is worth, I found TI flats to be singifigantly lower tension overall than the warwick blacks. B string included. I found the TI's to floppy for my tastes, but I feel comfy on the black's B.

These strings seem to have pretty good longevity under my hands. Way longer lifespan than the D'addarios and Yamaha strings I used previously. Bear in mind that I prefer the sound of broken in rounds. If you are one of those people who scrap their strings as soon as they lose their new string zing, you might not get any more life out of the blacks. If you are a string boiler (I've fallen out of the practice), the blacks seem to be a little more forgiving on the number of times they can be boiled before pooping out. Back when I was digging zingy thingy, I could boil these strings 3 to 4 times before they were shot. Most other strings, I only got 1 or 2 boils out of. I never tried the denatured alcohol thing, so I am no help there.

The C string is a little thinner gauge than most other readily available sets C's. I really like that. That's probably the first thing I noticed about these strings. Most other set's C strings now feel unnaturally thick to me. The higher pitch lets the string stay thinner but still maintain a consitent tension. I'm sure there are other sets with comparable C's out there, they just are being carried by any music stores in these parts (and I don't feel like playing the online string roulette game).

Bottom line, while I am not just head over heels in love with them, they are good enough that I no longer experiment with new strings on the sixer. I just focus on pulling a tone I like from the strings I have.
