Warwick to DR compare/contrast - advice please :)

Can anyone jump in with an educated guess or real-world experience going from the Warwick Black to the DR Lo-Rider (either nickel or SS)?

I have run searches and I'm not quite finding what I'm looking for (I didn't find much about Warwick strings). I've got a stock set that came on my Corvette $$, which are probably the standard Warwick Blacks. I have no idea how beat they are from sitting on the showroom floor model and being abused for and unknown period of time.

I'm looking to get a bit more boom out of my strings, and a bit more, but not too much, high-end springy/sparkly roundwound. I also would like to keep the natural "woody" sound of the bass I currently have. I've been looking into flats, for a bit, but I think I want a bit more zing. It looks like the Lo-Rider strings might be what I'm after.

I like the way the Warwicks feel in terms of the surface and the tension, and I'd like to stay close to them. I think the Sunbeams may be too flexy for my tastes as I do like a string with some tension, though I'm not looking for bridge cables here.

For the few, the proud, the interested...

Well, I sank the cash and got the Lo-Riders in stainless steel (the only option at the local GC). MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! They brought this beast to life. I don't know how old and dead the Warwick strings were, but the Lo-riders are cash-money!!! I found that Warwick "growl" people speak of. Thanks DR.
