Webstrings longevity question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all.

I have a question about the longevity of Webstrings. To be honest, I refuse to pay ridiculous $$$ for strings. I tend to changed them alot and $40, $50, or $60 adds up damn quick! I've used Copleys in the past, and, although I thought they sounded pretty good new, they weren't "new" for long. the price was great, however.

With the stainless Webstrings, what kind of longevity would I expect compared to other strings? prior to using the Copleys I was an avid Blue Steel guy. I (personally) thought their quality control went to poo though, and that's why I switched.

I did a search, and although there is info on ths strings themselves, not much on how long they remain usable.

Any help would be welcome. Thanks a bunch.

I find that Webstrings last about as long as any other I've tried. I love them. They're excellent strings, IMO.

yep, i've had mine on my bass for at least 3-4 months so far...they are not as bright as they used to be, and feel a little dead, but thats with every string i've tried, like fender and rotosound, so they are running avarage

I also find their longevity is about like most other strings. Currently have a set on my '97 AmStnd P bass. Nickels, I believe. Darn good strings.

Bought their flats just to see if I like flats -- I do. The strings are fine.
