WEBSTRINGS SUCKS!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I placed an order with Webstrings about two weeks ago. Last week my order arrived and it was wrong. I've tried to contact them several times either through e-mail or calling and have yet been able to speak to anyone about this. At this point I guess I've been screwed out of $20. I will never order from from them again and let me warn everyone now to not do any business with them.

Me neither, their customer service has been awesome any time I have needed them. Maybe they are closed for vacation or something? Hope it works out for you.

Wow..not my experience at all...

They were fast, and the strings were low cost, even with shipping! My first set arrived in like 3 days, but there was a problem with the E string. I sent out an email asking them what to do, they responded to that e mail in less than 24 hours, sent new strings and sent a follow up e mail within a day of my recieving the strings. And the strings sound great!

I feel for ya bud, and it does seem odd that strings would take 2 weeks to arrive.....

Bought acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass strings....

Had one weird set, it was replaced immediately.

Wayne runs a good shop.

Never had a problem. They're not my favorite bass strings in the world, but they're good for buying cheap, decent guitar strings... and their flatwound bass strings are ridiculously cheap and not half bad. I had a great experience with them the last time I ordered.

I have used them a bunch. They were happy to ship to a few different locations around the world. Strings are very decent imho and a great price.

I have used the nickel rounds and the ss flats...both fine (I used about 10 packs last year and they were all fine)

I've never heard of them. How would you compare their SS strings to Sadowsky SS? I normally use Sadowsky strings but these are half the price.

Ok, sorry for the hijack. Back on topic of hating Webstrings.

My two cents: best string source on the net is juststrings.com

I like them for the guages they offer...I used Rotosound for over 30 years...Same exact guage from webstrings...Made in USA also.
No silk ends, but I like them better....
More bottom end and smoother top..a little more supple on tension and WAY easier on frets!
They have a little "residue" from the manufacturing process (since you can't acid wash them anymore) I just clean them with a little shot of Zippo lighter fluid on the corner of a cloth after I string them up.
Last a LONGGGGG time compared to Rotos too.

I got several bad strings from rotosound the last few years.

The fact that the OP hasn't actually bothered to respond to all the overwhelming defense of the company strikes me as more than passing strange... Obviously he's not a troll account, since he's a supporting member... but who knows, maybe a recently fired webstrings employee hacked his account or something. Either way, webstrings is legit, and a good deal, even if they're not my #1 string choice.
